Orodism vs. Existentialism; Why is the Island of Orodism Necessary Today?
Existentialism as a philosophy emerged when the world was burning; wars, absurdity, the anxiety of being. Existentialists like Sartre and Camus constantly spoke of solitude, meaninglessness, and existential anxiety. It is like someone in the middle of a storm who can only scream: "I exist!" but they had no answer for "How should one live?" except for the acceptance of the absurd or individual rebellion.
This is where Orodism enters. Orodism neither seeks to sanctify absurdity nor to mythologize suffering. Orodism is a philosophy that, instead of "solitude," relies on solidarity; instead of "anxiety," it relies on love for existence, humanity, and freedom. These three pillars are like three lanterns that show the way in the darkness of today's world.
The Island of Orodism is an answer to the exhaustion of obsolete civilizations that no longer have oxygen for new generations. Existentialism abandons a person in the desert, but Orodism is an island for breathing; a place to become simple again, to return to a pure nature, and to build a new civilization.
In Existentialism, freedom is a heavy burden of anxiety.
In Orodism, freedom is the wing for flight.
Existentialism leaves humans alone in a meaningless world.
Orodism reminds humans of solidarity and compassion, so that we may build meaning together.
Existentialism is largely the narrative of a historical crisis.
Orodism is a vision for the future; a philosophy for survival, for saving generations from the swamp they themselves have created.
Therefore, migrating to the Island of Orodism is not merely a philosophical choice; it is a historical necessity. The world today needs a philosophy that possesses both intellect and love, that sees both the individual and the society, that is aware of the past yet moves toward the future.
Orodism, unlike Existentialism, views humans not as solitary beings, but as part of the garden of existence. A flower that has its own beauty, but whose splendor finds meaning in its coection to the garden.
